I had to call Safety again because apparently I am in "trouble" again.
Was told that 15 minutes was not enough time to properly do and log a 107 point pre-trip inspection and that I needed to log for as long as it takes me.
Also, when you get to the customer and send in your arrival call, go on-duty for as long as it takes until you are docked....EVEN if you are told that it is going to take a long time to get docked. I specifically stated "What if it takes you 45 minutes before you get docked" and was told that time has to be logged as on-duty......this comes from upper management and there is supposed to be a letter about this in the Portal but I have been unable to find it.
Does anybody know about this?

cant your team partner keep you straight? -
HOS minutes are a valuable resource to the drivers. It's my opinion that if Swift or any other company is going to dictate how and when a driver logs their minutes, then the company needs to buy those minutes first. -

Thanks for the comedic relief windsmith. I'm not sure which point was funnier>the one about the Swift drivers being paid hourly or the one about the Swift drivers banding together.
LOL...windsmith Thanks this. -

The purpose of the policy is to starve the solo drivers out of their 70 hour clock all the time, then the company will 'suggest' they get a teammate so there will always be hours available. Swift is greedy, make no mistake, a solo driver sitting for 10 hours break is just too much downtime.
