New way to stop trap theft

Hook the trailer, pull forward a bit, toss tarps up on deck along side tire, strap and roll, drive like ya stole it. Then sell it to an exporter.

 

Plot twist: wrecker comes to haul away trailer... Leaves tarps.

 

Air assist Jack and a few blocks of lumber and I’m off to the truck stop to sell those puppies.

 

I thought he was running a trap line lol.

As a guy that had $2k worth of equipment ripped off out of a fenced yard close to his house - I get it.

I applaud his ingenuity - I wouldn’t have thought of it.

 

That is the worst. Had my work boxes cleaned out once. Cut the locks and all gone. 7 or 8 trailers in the lot, everyone lost something.

The kicker. Called a few of the other trailer owners that I had known, they all came down. We called the sheriff to report the thefts. The sheriff says that they have been getting a number of reports in the last few months of property theft. Said they thought it was a group of meth heads doing it, but couldn’t catch them.

 

Well I built my traps to catch people stealing my tarps.
So if they steal my traps I rekon they’ll get my tarps too

 

sell the tarps to buy a good battery powered impact then go back for the shiny wheels ..
