    I don't understand. If it say's 9ft. clearence....how would a new driver know that the sign is wrong? You say "read the signs"....well, the signs say 9ft. clearence. Help me out here....LOL!

    @atomic use ur tape measure to measure it. Or if u have time sit and wait to see if another truck going under there. Some over pass in nj and ny are higher than what's poster on the signs. Besure the height before u try to go under. Or easily pull up to it and see if u touch it

    A good GPS will always tell you it's OK to go under those NYC bridges. If you can get up enough speed your truck will actually squat a little to give you some extra room to fit under.
