    I live in Chicago and i have a truck that has no plates and needs repairs so the abs light will go off. I heard that Illinois stopped permits for cmv, i was wondering is it possible to move the truck somehow just to a shop without getting in trouble, the shop is about 40 miles away.

    Insurance is the most important thing - other than that, bobtail to the shop - it's basically a personal vehicle if not earning revenue.

    Abs.. malfunctioning means unsafe tow it ,if you get caught no Plates abs.. malfunctioning automatic oos..many points then tow it.
