I'm currently otr reefer chinatown has been a tremendous help all along was wondering of there are any good carriers that provide weekend hometime or better hometime and pay than otr 9 months exp. No late appts, safety first is my mindset...

Estes, pilot, epes, r&l (ABCO), Shaffer is on my list... I'm open to anything that makes sense, Ive been running 2 months out under recaps 1 week off and seeing under 1k net (. 46cpm and I communicate with dispatch and dm ahead of time ) , it doesn't add up, it's slave labor since we're ball and chained with our trucks... Florida rock and tank is posting like crazy on Craigslist and indeed but they have bad reviews (have all my endorsements) no flatbed... Open to tanker (Indian River and pilot are on my list)... Roehl offers regional or dedicated but read bad things...

Any sand hauling companies? They need to start paying us for on duty time by the hour imo, cleaning out trainers, fueling, pre post inspections, clerical paperwork and all the phone calls, every other industry pays you for time at work except trucking?

Rogers Cartage may still pay for all that. Check if they still have a terminal in Jacksonville.

I see you’ve got Estes on your list! One year of experience is required, plus Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements. Once you meet that criteria, apply. You won’t be upset. No more cleaning out anything. Pull doubles terminal-to-terminal 5 days a week and take two days off. But if you want only the weekends off, and be local, they’ll start you out at $24/hour (around 50 hours per week), and you’ll get a raise every six months up to your third year. Third year is making the top pay, which is currently $29 (I think). Can’t go wrong with $75k/ year local with weekends off.
