Forgot something else about the trucks that started in the 2020 models. I had mentioned that they downgraded the seats but I forgot to mention that they also downgraded the suspension. They replaced the 4 large airbags with 8 very tiny airbags which we all noticed that the ride went to ####. Talked to a guy at Kenworth and he said if your looking for a smooth ride that's not designed for you. I asked him what he meant and he said that particular suspension was designed to help keep the truck from flipping over not for a smooth ride. Yea so add that to the very long list of things they have changed to accommodate the trainees and piss on the experienced drivers. Who cares about those who got us where we are we only care about those taking us into the future.
That 2020 680 is the smoothest ride on the road with those 4 airbags in the front suspension. Also, the guy you talked to is an idiot. The suspensions main purpose on any vehicle is to keep the shiny side up, the smooth ride is a bonus.
No the guy is not an idiot he assembles the trucks in the Kenworth plant so if anyone knows what's up with Kenworth trucks it would be him. This pos dont have no front airbags it only has 8 little tiny micro airbags in the back and will beat you to hell and back. Also if you think the Kenworth T-680 is the smoothest riding truck out here on the road you haven't driven enough trucks to know the difference.
I’ve driven all of them except the new Mac for one, secondly, the guy that puts the bolts in at the factory is far from an engineer... FWIW, I just drove the 191 from 40 to 80 in a 2020 KW with my coffee thermos standing the entire way.
Well sir I respect your experience driving every truck on the road except the new MACK ANTHEM but all I can tell you is that my 2019 Kenworth T680 had the 4 large airbags in the back and the ride was ok no big complaints with it but when I got my 2020 with the small 8 airbags in the bag I noticed immediately that the ride was very rough and other drivers that switched to the 2020 have told me their stories as well.
