but you don't have the right to fall out of your seat and us get run over while you are on the floor. A seatbelt is a requirement. You knew it was a requirement. You got tickets/warnings about not wearing it. That's the definition of "justice".

Just wait until he gets a seatbelt ticket because a cop on an overhead bridge using binoculars saw him without being belted in. ROFLMAO

Well not to bash you but here is the problem, we live and work in a regulated world which has rules and we all have the same exact rules to follow, no exceptions.

The seatbelt law as you may feel is not allowing you freedom but for the most part it serves a purpose to mitigate the risk of you being killed. We had a case where a truck caught a walk way last year or maybe in 2015 and the driver wasn't wearing his seatbelt, he was slammed into the steering wheel so hard he died instantly. pretty gruesome way to go.

If everyone had that attitude that this is about freedom and all that other BS, we would have more issues on the road and more problems to face by those who think they know better than us on how we are supposed to act - so they pass more laws and more regulations are made to make it more restrictive all because some have the attitude that they can do what they want.

As I said, we are our own enemy.

They do that in NY too...if you're headed west on NY-17/I-86 at the I-390 junction, watch for a cruiser on the overpass. Chances are there'll be 2-3 more down the entrance ramp waiting for the call to go tag someone.

Have you thought to pull enough slack from the seatbelt reach over to where it buckles, but don't buckle it if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Pull the slack and let it drape over you then reach back over your left shoulder with a spring clip and clamp the seatbelt right there so it cannot retract. For all intents and purposes you have your seat belt on.
