You make a great point. I think it's best to sell then.

Every rental I see is being driven extremely hard it seems .. if something breaks you may have to supply a loaner truck.. it’s very likely you could sink a pile of money into truck to keep it running. I’d sell it first . I lost around 8k selling my 2019 to become a company driver best move I ever made . My buddies are hurting bad and can see no way out due to the excess of cheap labor in Canada .

What happened? Is $2.5/mile not enough or you can’t find a broker to let you drive your truck?

The cheap third world labor in the US is destroying trucking , and will only get exponentially worse with all the border jumpers streaming across the border. These garbage rates are like hitting the lottery to them from where they came from. It’s truly a race to the bottom.

It has nothing to do about insurance. Companies like Western Express to name one is so desperate to get ###es in seats , they hire third world refugees at .42 a mile and when they get a little experience they bounce around at other low paying companies and maybe get into a truck of their own and will work for anything , because it’s still like hitting the lottery when you come from countries like Somalia , Haiti , Mexico etc. It sounds like the American dream , but it’s the trucking American nitemare.
Third world refugees flooding the trucking market who can , will and are driving the industry into the ground. I’ve been driving 37 years and never seen it like this . I’ve invested in businesses outside trucking and own commercial real estate . Im not too far away from moving on from trucking , but it’s still sad to see what this once great industry has turned into. All the foreign brokers , trucking companies , all third world refugees destroying the rates , wages and pride this industry once enjoyed.
