I've been in an auto for 3 months now and am still having trouble with backing. Too much pressure on the pedal and it takes off, so I have to slooowwwly (with the big toe) and lightly press the fuel peddle.
It does have a manual option, but my husband is better at using that than I am. I usually only use it to downshift to 9th on a hill earlier then the truck would. It will not go any higher than 3rd starting out.
In school we were taught in an old International 9400i. There was only me and another guy left in class the last 3 weeks. My leg was so sore by the end of class each day I dreaded the next, but I finished and went on to new things to dread and overcome.
