oilfield laying off

Been looking around Hobb, NM - Middland - & South of San Antonio (Devine/Gonzales area)

 

I'm in Gonzales. Paisano in cuerro green enetgy in Gonzales Stevens in Stockdale for vaccum. Crude hauler is coastal plains in Stockdale and over by Charlotte tx

 

Hobbs is picking up. Midland is teetering depending on who you talk to. I don't even inquire about San Antonio area anymore.

 

Coastal isn't a bad gig. Think they still pay hourly.

 

Coastal is owned by a man from lufkin TX,Dee Winston. All the trks come from kenworth in Lufkin. He puts aftermarket seats in brand new for driver comfort.

 

Smaller service outfits are still doing just fine. Have a backup plan or 3 anyway, just in case.

 

Doing service work is crappy. No hours. Swab jobs,containments,hot oil jobs,being and oilfield janitor most times. You might get 10 hrs a day maybe 12.

 

I see there is a job fair coming up in Hobbs on Jan 24

 

I couldn't find any info online about this job fair. Where did you hear about it?

 

NM has notoriously bad leases, I'm imagining people are taking a second look about going out there now that the outlooks are changing a bit. Pretty much wasn't worthwhile going out there a year ago.
