Thanks for that.
I was trying to figure out their game. Looks more and more like they are run like a convenience store chain with an internal fuel supply group.
As apposed to Space Age, a fuel/oil distribution company with some retail outlets and some truck stops.
Corporate emphasis and focus are import to how a business runs.
Ok I quit, but I’ll be back…. Maybe

Stay with Schneider -- until you have 1 year plus -- by going/moving to where the freight is (you're basically homeless anyway....right?):
Schneider -- tanker driver -- Citronelle, AL -- open to all CDL holders
Loads like this would afford you the opportunity to sidestep the coming reduced freight volumes due to the tariffs.
Think about it....

If the account manager is being a dill hole, then his boss needs to know. As a driver, about the only way you can jerk his leash and get him to heel is by going to his boss. You're national dedicated, not a domiciled driver. That means things have to work a little different - like not starting/ending your day at the store.
All the contact info you need is on the landing page in Compass. I strongly encourage you to make the call, regardless of your plans. -

Larger picture - you had problems at Western. AC and the truck tablet didn't work and your manager didn't want to route you into a company shop. A call to his manager/driver relations/safety could have solved that problem. Maybe not at Western, but it definitely would at Schneider. Now you're having issues with another manager who is putting his needs above yours. You can either work to find a resolution or quit. Working to find a resolution means having a couple of conversations with the manager, and when that doesn't work you go to his boss. It may not end up getting you everything you want, but a 10 minute phone call could have saved you a week of being stinky and pissed off.
Whatever the outcome - staying National Dedicated, going back to the DG you were on, or moving to a new company - you're going to have to develop skills to deal with dill hole managers. Might as well take a dry run now.TripleSix, Lonesome, rollin coal and 9 others Thank this. -

While you are still part of "team Orange" -- that Schneider tanker gig is a diamond in the rough, becuz:
- You would likely sidestep imported freight issues/volumes, later
- that tanker training/experience would set you up for later higher-paying gigs with:
- crude oil/petrochems
- cryogenics
- fuel
- and still others
If your current zip code is a problem -- have you considered using the RV world to relocate to a zip code that has this tanker freight?
I see Schneider constantly advertising for tanker drivers along the I -10 corridor in LA, MS, AL...& the I-65 area of AL.
