Something else to consider at this point....

Those in the business world are suggesting that with the tariffs taking effect -- the bottom may well fall out of the freight market.

Thus...later on...it may be very difficult (or even impossible) to "come back" to ANY carrier -- especially with under a year of class-A experience.

Suggestion: instead of quitting outright -- put in for a transfer to another type of freight &/or account (if your tenure there makes you eligible).

Schneider has SO MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS.

I would normally suggest looking at intermodal -- but the tariffs situation makes that likely a bad idea.

Have you tried Schneider's tanker fleet, yet?

I see ads for them repeatedly -- & that's probably a great way to sidestep the tariff problem.

If you're already in the tanker fleet -- ask for another account.

It's quite liberating to leave a messed up and dysfunctional family. My last job claimed they treat their drivers like "family". I was there 7 years and it felt so good to leave. Just don't throw anyone under the bus because it won't help you anyway..Good luck if you take the plunge.

Yes I considered just transferring accounts, but there’s nothing open currently in my zip code that interests me. 89146

My first DTL at SNI told me I could come back as jet set and I think I’ll take him up on that if the offer is still there.

Ok I’m lost. Las Vegas zip code but you’re in Indiana on a Home Depot account? Why not just get any local job you can get in Vegas? Belly dump. Mixer. Anything.

I’m technically OTR. I’m on the SNI FLEX account currently. Fill in on dedicated accounts wherever they want me. I was liking it until they started trying to squeeze my clock. They think my clock is their clock. I’m not really that interested in a local job right now. I’m homeless, I’ve been living in a truck since last September. I’m not in a big hurry to start paying rent. I’m also not desperate. I got a lot of cash.
