Well if they can get someone to work for cheaper they would. So why shouldn’t it work that way for drivers? I know why. Companies are only allowed to make money. The hell with everyone else.

I can see the advantage to someone who lives a simple life. I don’t spend much money other than living expenses. House is paid for. Vehicle is paid for.

If you take the high cost of living out of the equation someone who is a consumer in general, vehicles and toys and such, they’d come out ahead paying income tax in Montana and not paying sales tax on everything they buy. South Dakota would be the opposite. If you don’t buy much you’d be way ahead on the tax vs income tax.

It’s just my opinion that while it can be a factor it shouldn’t be the end all be all when choosing where to live that people make it out to be.

Not disageeing. Though its not just simple living. My car insurance wrnt from 550 a month to 200 a month. My rent for a simular or better apartment to what i had in KC is about half what i was when i left. Fuel is cheaper. Food and such are cheaper. Even my utilitys are around a third of what they were. Then there is how much better the people of SD are in my experince then in many other places. Even many vehicle types are way cheaper here then elsewhere.

So you are correct its everything added up. That being said jobs here are a lot more limited and if i ever left bones my options for anything near as good are slim at best. Luxury items are also way more expensive. Cigars for example i stock up on in missouri since they cost almost 5 times as much as in missouri.

That said there are also intangables to be considered. I.e nicer people, climate, hospital access ect that can offset financial stuff. Personally SD is the first place in my life thst felt like home. Everywhere else was just a place i slept and kept my crap so im biased as hell.

Before you quit, call your managers boss and have a conversation about your manager.

If things don't change, then quit.

@motocross25 you need to share the training details over on the home thread, I’ve had some winners, intrigued to hear the details of your woes. First guy they put with me bit his nails then flicked them in my truck, then nearly put us in the woods…..all in the first day!

My regular practice is to investigate my last/pas employer when I need a job. It's a tough situation. I don't know what I would do.
I know what I would want to do but laying waste to a village and then salting the earth sounds like a lot of work so there's probably a better idea.
