Western Express was even more ruthless they just straight up didn't pay me for tarping over half the time talking 3-4 hour tarp jobs sometimes

Western Express paid me 48 cents a mile for the miles they felt like paying. And $25 to tarp when they felt like paying for that. Really Western paid about 42 cents a mile because I was always around 10% short. So driving for free

Schneider on Dollar general paid miles, on duty, and full load pay. It was better than Western but at the end of the day, making less than 20 bucks an hour

Schneider NDF position has unique pay. It is hourly with a guarantee minimum. I like to call it almost salary. Almost because if you don't work you dont get paid. I got no mileage pay. There is also a stay out incentive. The first 3 weeks out are a little bit extra not much, every 4th week out consecutive was $400 a week extra. By far the best paying truck driving job I've had. All my checks were the same after the 4th week unless I had more than 66 hours on duty, I could make an extra 20 bucks an hour, my rate hourly, for the last few hours of the clock. So work overtime for free. At the end of the day, especially if you factor in overtime, it was just barely more than minimum wage.

Western was less than minimum wage.
    Dollar general was minimum wage
    NDF just over minimum wage

    Lots of working for free
