    I don't think it's that bad, not a deal breaker for me, but I did get my own truck recently. He could retire a millionaire easily but that would be the case at any of the linehaul companies too. The key there would be to max out 401K contributions every year. At his age 40 years of that would be a nice retirement.

    Great review. Wife and I applied for team linehaul with ODFL 10 years ago. We both had 20 years previous OTR experience. They wanted us to go separately with a driver trainer for 6 weeks. That was a no go for us. Wife had a bad experience with a male trainer when she started trucking. Went with R+l carriers and they gave us a road test and put us in a truck since we both had 2 million accident free OTR miles each. Been there ever since

    That's a LONG time to train. They trained me with 2 guys for half a week, but I also had LTL experience so I guess they figured I was halfway there.
