Bit depressed on all that, mate. Keep positive. The suggestion of Estes or Saia might be a good angle, would make an easy transition to ODFL later on. Keep an open line with OD and I'm sure you can reapply when you qualify.
You've got the smarts, drive and energy to succeed no matter what, so I fear not for you.
The whole BMI thing could be a problem for many of us if they have decided to jump the gun and adopt those standards.
Keep in touch buddy.

I applied to the Old Dominion Des Plaines terminal for shyts and giggles but actually hope they don't call me back. Reason? I decided I have no interest in getting haz-mat and tanker endorsement or driving doubles. Not to mention the really long hours and night shifts. I can make $20 an hour with overtime after 50 hours driving 53 foot vans locally around Chicago with no Haz-Mat. OD might be a good company but not for me.

Sent Tammy flowers today. Thanked her for the consideration. We will try OD again next summer.

You don't have to team but it's easier to get into these companies if your a pre-made team.
blairandgretchen and Nightwind8830 Thank this. -
Good some good news....sort of.
Before we applied to OD, we applied at Estes. We're supposed to go out tonight/tomorrow at US Xpress. Estes just called us for an interview on Monday. Ugh. Told them I could come in in four weeks. It would be the same gig as OD. Not sure about pay , etc. Fingers crossed.
Another day in our CDL soap opera. "As The CDL-A Turns"GITRDUN45 and blairandgretchen Thank this.
