never owned my own truck either.

have wanted to, but don't want to run another bus. again. too many headaches.

guess I'm not a "real" truck driver.

oh, and I don't like Peterbuilts or KW's either.

so, rocknbiker, what do you mean,"you have to be a real truck driver to drive here".??

run illegal or some thing?? that's what I found out when applying for an "old school" driver job.

that ain't a real driver either.

Cobra 29 BT, blue tooth CB radio alleviates the headset problem.

I've been using mine since shortly after they came out, a number of years ago. I do recommend using a decent external speaker.

You "pair" your phone to the radio, like you would do with a blue tooth headset. Then you speak through the CB mic and listen through the CB speaker, when on a call.

well that wont work....cuz when we are on lease roads...gotta keep a hand on the gear shift so it wont pop outta gear...ROUGH roads....so cant be holding a mic to talk....guess i will stick with the ol headset...

Oh, I was wondering how it works physically, does the CB replace the headset by transmitting the receiver of the phone through the external speaker, and the microphone of the phone become the CB microphone? I noticed them on display in truckstops, but never stopped to read and see how they actually function.
