I drove for Swift twice many years ago and nothing ever changes there. Any one who stays at Swift is called a "you" problem not a them problem.
On my way out after 1 year

Plant manager at one of the Ben & Jerry's in VT without fail, always had a case of my fav "Cherry Garcia" waiting for me every time I picked up. Would always recognize when I was on arrival list.
Always made the day much, much better. -

Move on asap. Don’t waste your time. It’s your time. I’ve never regretted moving on. Only regretted no doing it sooner. Good Luck. Lot of opportunities everywhere.
Another Canadian driver, XenonOxide and Atlanta trucker Thank this. -

Don’t worry about what some drivers too afraid to leave Swift will say. There’s MUCH better out there. I left Swift right at my year. They offered a bunch of BS accounts no one wanted, and kept giving me the run around on the one I would have definitely stayed to run. Ended up at a driver/warehouse position for a moving company for a year. Learned how to drive an 18-speed and get in and out of ridiculous areas not meant for trucks. Another year there and landed a coveted Linehaul job for ODFL at a super small terminal. No wild runs or crazy bids.
Hopefully you’ve used your downtime at Swift to complete the requirements for Hazmat, and already have your doubles-triples and tanker. Work on getting rid of that auto restriction (if you got your CDL through Swift), and the world is your oyster.Another Canadian driver, XenonOxide and Opus Thank this.
