Your company's safety dept has GPS's that are mounted to a magnet and placed on equipment without driver knowledge. They use this to keep an eye on drivers'
Also the computer that runs your truck also can come up with all sorts of information about your driving.

We had those magnetic trackers in our trucks but the union got rid of them No point to have them as per out contract we cannot be disciplined for taking to long. If you get a speeding ticket your on your own

Lol my last two driving jobs I know I wouldn't be allowed back at! But at the same time I would never be that desperate to want to work there again.

It's also worth noting that all 4-wheelers manufactured after the year 2014 sold in the US will have this as well.

as far as driver facing drive cams are concerned, they only send 20 sec clips when an event triggers them to do so. Their purpose isn't to spy on the driver as that is not what they are designed to do. They will however identify and flag bad driving habits when you trigger them to go off. If you're a good driver, you have nothing to worry about.

How do you hit 5 birds? I only hit one, it was my first day in trucking school, first time ever in a truck, drove two miles and a pigeon hit head on into the driver side mirror, what makes it worse is that the pigeon turned around on impact and was now facing me as it got stuck between the mirror and the door. So now I had a dead pigeon starring at me the whole time I'm driving down the road, as if driving for the first time wasn't stressful enough. What a great way to start a career.

Wow... that is pretty funny. My coworker hit a massive owl one year and it went through his windshield. It just sat there in the passenger seat his whole way back. He kept it until he got back to the terminal cause nobody would have believed him. It was winter too and his entire passenger side of the cab was filled with snow.

Hahaha! That reminds of of this time I was OTR and another driver had that same thing happen to him but with a Flamingo! Yes we were in Florida. It smashed through the windshield and died in his sleeper!
