Hey all I live in the kc area and an old timer I meet at a driver's longue at an international dealer told me about this company. I see older threads about them just wanted some input on the current situation here. I'm currently otr for heartless express but looking to make a change in a few months when my one year is up. Would ortran take me sooner? How often could they get me home? What's the pay/miles like. Do u ever sit and if so do they pay for it? And can u bobtail home (about an hour south of of? Thanks guys
Ortran (oix) kcmo anyone here?

Oix ortran is a scam I am not a bitter driver this simple truth..they advertise 6am to 6pm for day drivers..night drivers are 6pm to 6am slip seating pay is around 39 cents a mile depending on area of hire..they fly you in or what ever travel you chose put you up in a hotel decent!! Now the truth you get done with orientation..You Start really around 11am get off around 1am second works 14 hours then by the end of the week you working at night and he is working days..loads are never ready dispatch don't know what there doing at all..your dropping and hooking all day not getting paid for it!! So if since there b.s. and quit cause you're tired of it!! They take your check and make you pay for your travel there and what ever else they want!! Do not work for these asscracks they won't pay you in the end and they are just liars..they owe me like 650.00

Ortran oix..biggest scam in trucking industry..don't work there..if you find out about there b.s. and quit they take your whole paycheck even make you pay for getting to there orientation!! Straight classless place..

There equipment is in good shape the shop is on it with repairs (for the most part). The miles dont live up to there promises and the schedule is no where as consistent as they promise. After a few weeks here I am still interviewing for other places. Heres hoping Fedex calls me back. Felt like I did alright in the interview.
Oh and what was said above is true. They make you sign a paper saying if you leave within 90 days of first load you will be charged for orientation, transportation and bonus. Your final paycheck must be picked up in person as well. So factor that into your decision. Nothing like leaving a company in the red. No idea whether they report to dac or not.Last edited: Mar 17, 2016

They do report to DAC. And everything said above is true. I have never worked anywhere where the communication and organization is so poor. Very sad.

I live in the kcmo area and have noticed a huge uptick in ortan trucks in the past few months along with billboards on I 70 from kc to indy advertising 500 miles a week/ home daily. Maybe the have expanded faster than they can manage?

Had a friend that went to Orientation. Supposedly some kind of dedicated Texas deal.
He was told it was no longer available..
He left/went back home. -
Lucy in the Sky Thanks this.
