Hello. I'm curious if there are any companies that will allow me to bring a large dog with me? I can't bare to leave him behind.
Additionally, does anyone have suggestions for a large dog coming in and out of the truck? It's a pretty steep jump. I think there are steps you can buy to attach to the side of a truck. Do those work?
OTR companies that allow large dog ride alongs?

There are companies that allow it, for a non refundable fee. Just ask about the pet policy when you speak to recruiters. Ask if there’s a fee also.
I’ve seen steps, I’ve seen ramps. I don’t know where to buy them. But they’re out there.TxTreeFiddy Thanks this. -

Do you really want to do that to a large dog? They need exercise and sitting in a truck is not the best for them. I did for a bit in my own truck, you will not believe where that hair gets.

I used to take my Great Dane with me all the time. Just ask about pet policies. Make sure to ask if there’s a weight limit.

Are you in Texas and if so, which city are you near?
Do you already have a cdl? -
You know, the best thing about having a big dog was when someone tried getting in the truck. Just sit back and watch the fun as soon as they got in and the doors locked.

Werner is $250 + 10 per paycheck (40) a month and I don’t think they have a size restriction. There are other companies with similar fees. There are a few with no fees. A Peterbilt with a ramp up to the bunk would probably be the easiest.
That being said, depending on the dog type and energy level I probably wouldn’t recommend a dog more than 50 lbs unless you are doing day trips. I hope you like the top bunk.

Do not need no heater at night, just throw on a couple of dogs.
