    Joe,

If you want to drive a truck you need to make up your mind. Do you want local or do you want OTR? Not to be a dick but do you realize how many people these schools are pumping out lying to people that trucking is the answer to all their problems? Also do you realize that there are 1000's of experienced drivers out of work just like every other industry in this country? Insurance companies now require you to have usually a year OTR experience within the last 18 months or so or to have graduated fom a training school recently. If you want OTR you better do it now or you'll be out of luck after a few weeks of graduating from school. If you want to drive find a gig stay and get some experience and in a year or ten when things turn around jobs will be plentiful again and you can roam to whatever company you want. Read through just a small portion of the threads on here and you'll get th reality of it. Good Luck whatever you do.

    JoeB Thanks this.

I'm not really sure if it's typical. The previous job I had was for a company that only hired out of FL. and we ran produce and did teams. My current employer rarely hires. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. By the way, tried the PM first, to give more detail in the message, but couldn't do it either:(
