All depends on the positioning and size of the tanks but the weight-burn ratio will always be the same once it’s determined. Typically it’s roughly around 60:40 but can go either way depending on the setup.
Some trucks have a big tank way back on one side and a smaller tank on the other side way up or vice versa
Overweight on my drive axle 34340lbs, can I slide my 5th wheel?

I remember having a chart in my permit book getting into better detail on my tractors weight/fuel burn. If I remember right I lost about 75 pounds total weight for every 100 miles. About 25/30 pounds off the drives.
Edited: make that every 50 miles. It was almost 150 pounds total for every 100 miles. My mind is going!Dorde89 Thanks this. -
Also, what I don't see mentioned, is that Florida allows 44,000 on your drive and tandem axles, so you are not overweight in that state.

I was 880# over on my drives earlier this week. Slide the tandems forward as far as I could. 5th wheel wouldn’t slide. I was still 180# over. I had 124 miles to the next scales. It was Oregon so I could see that I was at 33,950 when I rolled across. Knowing some basic math can help.

I was thinking today. It might be time for @IluvCATS to put those cats on a diet!
