Owner operator, hotshot, or local dump truck work?

Business acumen aside, and regardless of line of work, I think it’s better to get your feet wet first by working for someone else. If for no other reason, just to see if you’re going to like it. *I* would be miserable if I invested thousands of dollars into a new venture only to find out I hate it and knowing I’m probably going to lose at least half of my money to get out of it.
