I’m seriously contemplating biting the necks of every one of these fleece purchase yahoos that sign up and then come in here whining “we knew that would happen”.

Whenever I read a post about "my spouse got screwed" I immediately think of a husband who can't be a man and stand up for himself. This world is full of bullies. You can either stand up for yourself or be pushed around, but it's sad when your wife has to stick up for you...I let my wife handle a larger portion of our life's responsibility because she does it well, but when I need to step up and be the man then that's what I do. No WHINING!

P & S company driver here, they are having some major freight problems. Second time I've been up here the DE, NJ area and the best they can offer is out of Baltimore, and it's only 175 to NC.
Last week I had the choice of a $75 fuel charge or not get home for my 34. I went home. I was doing really well for awhile, 1000 a week, now I'm struggling to get 900. And my view is, if you want me to stay out for the weekend, you'd better pay me for it but they don't, so I make sure I'm home every Friday night.

They are not a driver based company, they could care less about the driver. If I kept a record of all the crap I've had to deal with, it would make a nice book report.

Wow, back when they only had 250 trucks and lease operators, they were ok. Good freight, lots of it. Then it seems like a lot of companies, they started buying out smaller operations and lost focus. Growing to fast with out a plan or control.

From my understanding a lot of the “higher echelons” from that company were management and dispatchers that jumped ship from Swift, and brought their associated baggage with them. At the time I was working at Western Express they had a terminal next door to us in Emporia,Virginia (technically on the outskirts of town). Even back then(2014/2015) there were horror stories with that outfit, both company and fleece purchase driver alike.
    As the saying goes:”Caveat emptor”!
