Paid off truck and trailer today!

Keep xtra cash and pay tax still ahead

 

When I paid off my first truck, I ended up putting 2 million miles on it. That is when I made the most money trucking. I would have a lot more money today, had I kept that truck for the rest of my trucking days.

 

I don’t buy stuff for tax deductions but I do buy stuff I need or want at the end of year, I would rather have something new, keep my $40 and pay the gooberment only $10 instead of $20.. I can spend my money better than the gooberment... $90 to me or $80.. same thing but I got something new I want or need and the gooberment gets less.. winning

What you gonna do with all that extra $$$$$ ? It’s a good feeling. Nothing beats it. Not all the deductions - warranties - projected resale or other snake oil salesman ideas that people buy into. Less stress and a extra week off per mo for me if wanted.Congrats.

 

The weird thing about the extra money after the equipment is paid off is that it does not substantiate on the bank account anyhow. More repairs or more consumption eats it away easily. The same goes when you pay off a personal vehicle...you'd think you'd have extra few hundred...but no it will go for new furniture.
By the time the new furniture is paid off, there is time for a new car.
