I've not posted a lot for a few reasons...but while I've not moved on, I will be so shortly. The money continues to be great, and I will still advise non-CDL holders looking to start with TMC, or at least give them a look, but I am moving on. I'm just burnt out. 114k miles in 10 months at 62mph is a grind, at least for me. Living out of the truck is much tougher (for me) than I thought it would be. if I had a dog (companion), I'm sure that would offer some relief, but that's not going to happen w/ TMC and I respect that. So I'm looking to turn my truck in very soon (though my contract ends 1/25/20), I don't intend on staying until then and will pay the 1k or so balance of my contract and likely take the next 1-3 months off and look for another venture. I'll likely look at Rohel FB since they offer a 7/7 schedule (effectively 6 months on, 6 months off) so I can get my 2nd year of CDL exp, then perhaps move local after.
Either way, I know I'll never have a nicer truck or trailer or have to worry about DOT inspections than w/ nearly any other company out there and I know that will suck.
Passed TMC's 3-week CDL orient, today I head out for OTR training

@Bandit2408 I hope you enjoy it as much as I currently am, I'm ending week 1 this week and after a fopa from my DMV that had me flying back to NC to correct, the instructors are all there for me, one came in today on his "off" day to help me learn the basics of yard maneuvers that my classmates did while I was going home.
Great instructors, great way of teaching! -
That is good to hear which training place are u at Columbia or des Moines? Ready to go now but like said dont want to miss holidays since so close know wouldn't be chance to be home

I'm in Des Moines, from what I hear they're sending all brand new students to Des Moines.
Just spent 3.5 hrs doing yard maneuvers, man I need help with backing, I wonder all over the place haha -
Ok I am really looking forward to learning a new trade would rather be getting out the truck doing stuff then sitting in it
