Crazy times we live in. All this inflation can’t be good for the country. I bet the junkyards are finally making a killing on truck parts! Kudos for anyone they got a truck before prices got crazy. I don’t think they’re ever coming back down.
Paying $80,000-90,000 for a 2016 semi truck with 800,000 miles?

Just one isle. The next one might be full. There is no answer as to what will be out. I’ve noticed they can’t keep sandwich meat stocked also. I don’t know if they can’t keep them stocked or the don’t have the stock to put out. I hear some of both.Rideandrepair, Oxbow, Opus and 2 others Thank this. -
junkyards have been making very large profits , ever since the junkyard was invented.Dino soar and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
IDK If yours are well stocked ..maybe it's just Iowa..since this is a red state ..Rideandrepair, Speed_Drums and Oxbow Thank this. -
one store had hardly any meat and no bacon and another store two miles away had plenty of meat and bacon but no sodas or Gatorade or chips .Rideandrepair, Studebaker Hawk, skallagrime and 2 others Thank this. -
Many of the fast food restaurants here have a sign up that says due to nationwide shortages some of your favorite meal items may not be available.
Rideandrepair and Eldiablo Thank this. -
No doubt about it that there are shortages in almost every aspect in the economy these days. I have noticed receivers still do not take product early. I know sometimes it’s because of space and volume of receiving etc… but I still have a feeling sometimes it’s because of the receiver not doing their part.
I also rarely see bill of lading‘s with emergency restocking listed. I’ve only seen it twice since the Covid thing.Rideandrepair and Eldiablo Thank this. -
I was in mrytle beach last month and the Kroger there was bare shelves too. The Walmart wasn’t as bad but did have open spots.
Rideandrepair and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Back to the original topic about people spending a fortune on worn out equipment... If prices don’t drop, and inflation continues, they wouldn’t have spent a fortune. If magically things get cheaper…
Rideandrepair and shooter19802003 Thank this.
