I think there's a trend to get away from Google and such, but if you ask me, if you hit the power button, it's fair game. Pure denial if you think you can "get away" from it all. I don't post any top secret information anyway, so they can kiss my :bootyshake:,,

I think if you don't want to be "tracked" for targeted advertisements you have 2 choices.
    (1) unalive yourself
    (2) go completely off grid living in a homestead community where you don't purchase anything, sell anything, or do any work recorded by IRS.

I honestly have no problem at all being tracked with advertisements. I knew they were doing this and actually do have multiple phones but to do this to their EMPLOYEES is wrong, creepy, and weird. I’m not a customer buying something I’m a employee and you have 0 reasons to be involved in my personal life.

There are a lot of other things you can do, including really simple things like using adblockers on your browser and turning location off on your phone. There are other simple things you can do to minimize targeting and tracking, like using a VPN, minimizing online shopping, only downloading apps that you actually use, not giving your cell phone number and email to companies (especially doctors and hospitals), etc.

I see almost no ads on the internet. I get almost no junk mail or robo calls. It does take work, but once you develop the habit it's pretty easy.

When I tell family and friends that they all seem interested, but then when I talk about what to do their eyes glaze over because they can't be bothered. I think it's because it is socially unacceptable to resist the media machine too vigorously.

Other than a geo fence location tracker or a timed every couple hours or so location blip I highly doubt that any company is “tracking” you.
