What pilot did to it was close the original fuel pumps and taken out 6 six rows of truck parking to put in different fuel pumps..it’s a cluster now because of that garbage

Thanks for the clarification. It makes for a typical Pilot screw up of destroying a good truck stop to become a Pilot cluster fxxx.

When a chain buys an independent unless there are already plenty of fuel lanes they really have no choice but to make changes because they will be selling a higher volume of fuel than the previous owner. I don’t know what the Giant had but there has to be 10 or more fuel lanes now and they still get stacked up 2 or more deep. With the chains comes the corporate fueling and often that’s more traffic than the old set up would allow.

The giant had many of the same big fleets that use pilot used them always…pilot is typical in destroying everything they touch…

I used to hate going into that place in Raphine; it was packed 24/7. In fact, that whole stretch of I-81 from about Raphine to the middle of Tennessee was terrible; the few truckstops were always packed, as were the rest areas, and the state troopers wouldn't allow you to sleep in them. I used to avoid taking I-81...

Yeah you’re right. People should never choose to sell their businesses, they should ride it out until the very end and just close them up.

I parked in the last row away from the building the other night. Only reason I was able to get out at 0600 the next morning was the guy to my right left just before I did. Otherwise I’d have had to wake up two drivers. As big as that place is, drivers still refuse to back into a slot if they can “invent” a spot no matter who it may inconvenience.

You can't understand if they don't care about other drivers, can't back up or just plain old don't give a ####.

I have actually seen certain Love's and Pilot's enforcing the no parking areas. Wish more truck stop management would grow a pair and start doing that.

Amen to that. Along with camping on the fuel islands.
