Impressive... Your Susie Homemaker in the truck... Good deal :) You probably have to save a nice chunk of change doing all the cooking... And ya I agree much better eating that it must be not having to eat in the truck stops... Good restaurants at truck stops are hard to come by although, there are a few out there

I'm just not afraid to do what needs to be done to live my life my way! My childhood wasn't the best so I learned how to take care of myself at a very young age everything from cooking gourmet meals to sewing clothes if I have to. I created my own curtains for my truck that go around the side windows and windshield so no light comes in and it had a thermal backing to help reduce the heat from direct sunlight. Now when I hand to sleep during the day I have no outside lights coming in and it keeps the cab cool by about 15-20 degrees because it blocks out the sun at the window.

It's all how you making trucking work for you. :)

And yes, I save a lot because I cook my own food. I'm trying to pay if debt and I'm now on the last 11 months on what has been a 2 year journey so far. I'm down to my last 46k.

    LOL..

Poker is just a source of entertainment for me. People taking my loads sucks far more than people taking my money at a poker table.
Speaking of which Poker players in PA are boring....... all sooooooooooooooooooo tight.
Tonight I got bored and raised with rags a few times to steal the pot showed them also, did it again two more times and still no callers.
    Boring!

Best time to make monday is on a Friday or Saturday after midnight when players are bombed and real loose.
I use to do well when I lived in Florida playing on weekends late against drunk people, was more entertaining as well.

Naw, you're not the first one to call me that. I've learned to take it as a compliment. Right now I'm actually sewing 2 costumes for the Renaissance festival I'm going to for Halloween.

I started trucking because I got screwed over by a business partner and I had to sell everything I had. When I started trucking 2 years ago today actually, I had over 100k in debt.

I need to start cooking my own food. This truck stop food is yeah no.
Microwaved stuff doesn't appeal to me. I saw one of those cigarette outlet toaster overs for sale at the TA.
That's on my list of things I need to get, along with a dash cam.

Those work but they eventually melt down, literally. Just bite the bullet and get a 1500 watt or higher power invertor. Then go to Walmart and buy a real toaster oven. The one I have is a rotisserie as well.
