Picked up a drop n hook in NC. Heading to Michigan for home time.
Hooked to the trailer. Inspected good! Time to head home! Had to pull out and U-turn to the left immediately (around 1 other trailer parked next to it) to exit the lot. Pulled up to the gate guard to check out. Got out of the truck. Service lines are all severed and one hose completely separated into two pieces. No other damage.
I was thinking "oh great I'm getting fired". But i was just told to start calling services in my area and see who will come fix it and call back when i know how much it costs so it can be taken care of. No lecture. Nothing. Just "oh yeah you don't wanna be driving down the road like that for sure."
Waiting for a local maintenance guy to come replace it. They said 90 minutes or less.
Oh well. I have 3 days to drive 12 hours. Got some experience out of it. Not a big deal. My nerves calmed very quickly as the situation unfolded and i realized it wasn't a huge deal.
Obviously i need to be more careful. -

Decieded to step out of the truck on this Saturday night and grab a bite to eat. I am in Lebonon Indiana at the Flying J... Walked over to the 'Bottoms Up Bar and Grill'. It's literally in the Flying Js parking lot almost....
It is a smoking establishment. Free pool... More of a Gin Mill or local dive bar...
But they have food.... And A TV for football!! Got the UNC vs Georgia game in per my request....
I ordered the 'Cheesus Burger'
2 grilled Cheese sandwiches...one with American Cheese and pickles and one with Swiss cheese and grilled onions.... Acting as a bun for a cheese burger...
And the Fried Baked Potatoes...
Really good....
Except for the smoking friendly atmosphere... A nice reprieve.....Gearjammin' Penguin, Pigbacon, Xeres63 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Raise my hand too. I bumped a low profile (home made) trailer at a red light in Minnesota. My nerves were shot & sometimes still are. The guy was nice about it. Said he could repair it for next to nothing. DOT officer came out...no ticket no nothing...I let safety know & I've never heard 1 word about it. It's on my record I know but never received a call or email about it. I also backed into a mobile stop sign last winter. It was at Farm Fleet. It was early morning & dark and snowing. Broke a clearance light and cracked my bumper on the right side. No ticket no nothing. Safety called and asked what happened, I told him....he said you learn your lesson? Yes sir I did! Always look at Google Earth before I pick up or deliver now. Ive changed how I drove because of these 2 incidents. I figure as long as you learn from your mistakes, you're worth a chance.

Had a great day yesterday peeps! Got out of the truck for a while, rented a HD Street Glide, and ran around Rapid City, S.D.
Rode to Mt Rushmore, thru Custer State Park, and to the Crazy Horse Memorial.
Saw lots of wildlife and snapped pictures of the ones that weren't camera shy. I saw Wyle E. Coyote but he didn't want his picture taken.
Took a pic of a turkey but he was shy and was trying to hide.
Hope you guys enjoy these pics as much as I enjoyed riding around and taking them.
These first pics are from the trip to Mt Rushmore.
Prioritypete, tucker and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
These pics are the ride thru Custer State Park and is where all the wild animals were.
Mt Rushmore is visible thru the trees in the park.
