"While professional truck drivers will remain the core of Pilot Flying J’s business, the company wants to appeal increasingly to car drivers, as the gasoline pumps indicate, he said."

Don't they already do this? LOL.

Apparently they want even more 4 wheelers to shop at PFJ. Maybe they will convert truck parking into four wheeler parking.

They don't call them Truck stops.... They are called Traveling Centers. That's the difference.

Have you ever seen the Buckee's stores down in Texas? They have like 100+ auto gasoline pumps at any given store, but big trucks are strictly forbidden at ALL stores ... Crazy and blows my mind to try and comprehend their business model but seems to work, granted they're trying to get people inside to buy the huge array of other gifts, snacks, foods, deer corn, and other crap they sell inside.

All the PFJ's I've ever seen seem to do a great gasoline business at the travel centers, as is. But whatever.

If they want to attract more 4wheelers, I suggest laying off the loudspeaker announcement that some trucker's shower is now ready that can be heard i na 3 mile radius. If I'm a 4wheeler, I'm scared that somewere on the premises a big sweaty Sasquatch looking beast is lathering up their ### while I'm looking at crystal figurines.

The shower announcement(s) does seem like would be off-putting to many non-truckers. I notice some have disabled these announcements but then you have to park in front of the monitor when there is a wait. They should add a text feature [option] for those who use their rewards card to initiate showers, and there is a waiting list.

I have never considered Pilots and flying hooks to be truck stops. There are very few real truck stops left.
I'm showing my age now but I think it was the old Kelly's Million dollar 76 truck stop near Shreveport (now a TA) that started the change back in the 70's.
