    hey guys
i think i narrowed it down to either prime light truck 43cpm out 3-4 weeks refer and home 3-4 days or knight 31cpm out 14days with 2 days off. seems from what i heard knight has more miles.
also the training from knight is at a school and prime is on the road training. . So with prime your with someone on a truck for school and training/mentorship. which is great to learn and get the business experience so when im on my own i ve had tons of training, on other hand seem annoying to to be with someone for 2-3 months.

any suggestions from experience would be appreciated

I'd take the higher pay. Prime has plenty of miles to go around as long as you're productive.

If you think you can live in a lightweight I'd say go for Prime. Have you seen them?

Not yet sir, but im ready to run and make money. i know there small but ill manage. i hope :)..
i dont understand when people say if your productive depends on miles... doesn't the miles depend on what you get from dispatcher. so if i wanna run 3000 miles a week does it really matter how productive driver is. they gotta get the load there on time. only way to run 3000miles is to get go delivery's from dispatch? can someone explain please

Yes, it's annoying to be with a stranger in a truck. And it's also annoying to be stuck in a 5 mile back-up coming thru Denver at 5 pm on a Friday. But that's not as annoying as waiting behind a truck on the fuel island who's driver is waiting for his sub sandwich to get made when he could have moved his truck off the fuel island. But I'll tell you something that's really annoying….it's waiting for a shower in July in Georgia at 4 pm and it's been a very long day and the shower cleaning person is cleaning ALL the showers before he brings the keys back to the desk. Now that's annoying. Almost as annoying as the consignee not honoring your appointment time, and making you wait ! This is a very annoying lifestyle.

That's a HUGE can of worms.

    I gross $2000 as a company driver a week - some gross $600.

All depends. But there's still only 24 hrs in a day.

I use Julian Dates in my log book. It's so confusing the diesel cops just say, "Goodby, have a nice day."

If you're productive and your dispatcher knows they can count on you they will give you miles. If you're the guy who stops at every truck stop and is constantly late you'll find yourself with short runs and long waits between loads.
