FedEx started a new satellite company called "Fedex Ditch".

I used to drive for FedEx Freight. Honestly, they're no different from any other LTL. You have unrealistic scheduling expectations to adhere too, as in you'll have 30+ stops a day as a city driver, and they wanted you at each stop 5 minutes ago. Some drivers can handle the stress, others can't. Either way, you kinda have to haul ### driving for an LTL, because you don't have the luxury of rescheduling appointments.

I think the negativity stems more from the FedEx Ground drivers than anyone else. I've seen a monumental drop in the overall quality of the contractors they're hiring, including some eastern bloc drivers that display their typical uncaring attitude for safety or courtesy.

    darthanubis and Joetro Thank this.

FedEx changed their contracts with drivers. Instead of "bidding", it's all a flat rate now. Some guys can't make it on $1.40 a mile. EE drivers can and will, and $1.40 is big money to them.

    48Packard Thanks this.

Yeah, what FedEx Ground drivers are you guys calling the worst ? The P & D curb trucks ? Or the A trains ? Is Ground that desperate for brokers to do Line Hauls ? Or are these 'bad drivers' working for brokers with multiple trucks on the road ?
