If his truck has been in the shop 50 days he's an idiot for not changing trucks a long time ago. Some folks just ain't cut out for being a truck driver.

Yeah I think a lot depends how you handle things at poly to. Today I drove up to riceboro, GA after confirming yesterday I don't need a tanker endorsement to pick up the load. So I get here by noon and get loaded by 1400 to see totes in the trailer that I can't haul lol.
Of course nobody wants to answer the phone and it's annoying but about an hour later I get told to just have them unload the product. I had to go back to the holding area and wait for receiving because for whatever reason shipping couldn't take it off even though i never left the dock.
So finally get out of there and back haul calls me with a new load picking up in Anderson SC at 8pm tomorrow Sucks. Its about 220 miles away but I need fuel and will turn it into 300 in order to get some and get more miles out of it.
So after all this crap I still get around 1550 miles in 4 days , paperwork turned in before payroll cut off. 900 different approved so I can drop in gp and on the board for Sunday.

Hopefully no more surprises but sometimes you just got to take the crap and move on, or freak out and complain whichever makes you happy. Lol

50 days is a new record ..., my first month here there were a guy who was down 21 days before finally throwing in the towel and flying himself home from wherever he was stranded.

Not 50 all at once .....50 since Janurary
I was down probably 40 or so all of last year

They have a freeze on all the trucks ,
if you end up with a clunker , your stuck with it.

I doubt it was him, he has had decent luck with his equipment (unless it was saving up to stick it to him all in a few months)

@ArmyGuy why don't you get your tanker endorsement, it's so easy a Crete driver can get one...

Just laziness really. I need to go get it especially now we have that riceboro account back.
I was hoping to get all endorsement's in the near future as I am money motivated and I can't do otr at 60k a year forever. Being in Florida makes it worse but if I can get the endorsements I might luck out on a good gig or even move if the right paying job is out there.

I hear ya'. I got it just for Poly, and never used it. 1st few months over here and I'm glad I kept it. I'm in the same FL boat you are, decent trucking jobs are scarce down there.

    #### ####er left the truck I picked up today at Henderson in worse shape than a pig pen. The #### mattress would have been turned away by hazmat facilities. About the only thing I didn't find was a used condom. What is worse the ####### is still working for Poly. Just decided to leave his #### in his old truck and jump into another one. Should be fired for that.

Since ya'll have the same keys, I'd wait for him to park his truck for hometime and deposit his trash on his front seat with a note "you forgot some of your stuff"
