I've used Priceline and Kayak. Sometimes one is better than the other...then the next time it's reversed.

Not sure why, but I still use Priceline. I'll have to try Trivago again.againstthewind Thanks this. -
Attention ALL Poly Drivers :
Please stop giving rides to broken
down drivers .... ITS NOT YOUR JOB !
Let Poly pay for the motels
No one should have to be confined
in a truck for days on end with
another driver against their will .
Overrule their attempt to coerce you into
another mans truck via large hotel
bills thrown back onto you when you elect
not to be picked up .IndianaF150 Thanks this. -
Last December? I was forced to go to Indy to pick up a truck which used to be mine and was in the International dealership for a month, but was no longer mine.
I went there and right afterward they wanted me to go to Illinois and pick up another drivers load, as his international was also broke down.
I picked up his trailer but refused to take the driver. No offense to the driver, but I'm not living with another guy in my truck for more than a few hours.
The Compliance guy had the balls to say: "You don't want to help Poly?"
I thought, WTF !
I just gave up hundreds of dollars to help Poly.
1.) I skipped several days of work to attend their annual Sam's Club recruitment drive (they call it a safety meeting). Somebody at Poly must be making a commission for every membership they sell.
2.) I then rented a car (AT MY OWN EXPENSE) and drove to Indy to pick up their truck, which hadn't been mine in over a month. I had been issued another truck a month earlier.
In fairness to Poly, they offered me a coach plane ticket, but I'm a big boy and don't like to inconvenience the passengers on either side of me.Last edited: Jun 7, 2017

The drivers jumping at the chance to
pick up another driver ( at least in my
case ) were low on , or out of hours .
Basically they are bent on pimping drivers
that have hours available.
I've had plenty of breakdowns where the driver declined to carry me back . ( a special thanks
to those decent people )

I just spoke to the TX DOT field office it has to be in writing for another driver to be in your truck .
(512) 916-5440
Almost like a bus ticket .... the day you pick them up and the day they are going to be out of the vehicle needs to be in written form with you during transport .
The Officer cited 392.60
The only reason they instituted
breakdown and layover was because
the place was hemorrhaging drivers.
Now they look to claw back the $
by forcing rides
The officer stated that if anyone feels it's
a distraction then you don't have to do it .
It's a personal choice ... Poly or any company
cannot make you agree to it
Public Safety over rides the will of Poly
( I have since been coached by several
Poly veterans on what to do if I get in a breakdown situation and someone tries to pimp me out again )Last edited: Jun 7, 2017

A lot of conflicting (rumor vs fact) info, not to mention it being over a few years in various threads.
-Does Poly pay breakdown now? How much?
-What is their status w the Maxxfarce Int'ls? Are they still getting weeded out?
-Are they still taking a month+ to process apps?
-Are they ok getting the truck fixed on the road vs limping it back to GP?
-If they don't return your call on a command decision, will they fault you if you make that decision, if it can't wait?28 Thanks this.
