We live like we want and are comfortable with. If the guy wants to be a trucker at 62 years old, then good for him; that's what he should do. I started at the ripe old age of 60. If I can do it, just about anyone can. In all honesty though, the biggest challenge I'm having is with the DW. She can't yet accept the fact that I'm doing this because I love the lifestyle and the folks I'm meeting. She thinks I don't want to spend time with her. It's a balancing act for sure and one I hope you won't need to manage.

Got CDL at 55, still driving at 63, no med issues or special apparatus needed thank you very much. -

The average age of US truckers is 57 or 58. At 62 you would do just fine. I'm 58 and OTR work is easy once you figure everything out.

Try getting a older folk to hurry. They just plod along at their own pace, screwy thing is we are always in front.
