Have you checked the cord for damage? sounds like a short if it happens instantly when you plug it in

Probably has a bad overload protection breaker (fried) Sound's like one of those bought at Loves. They work fine as long as you don't push them to see how far and for how long they'll go.

Is the overload protection breaker in the inverter or my fuse box?

inside the inverter. Doe's your have a button that can be pressed to reset the breaker? If so, that's probably what's bad. If not, it probably still has some sort of internal overload protection inside the inverter that is melted.
Does the cigarette plug appear to have gotten hot at one time and melted somewhat? The short could be in there, regardless. Maybe you can open it up without any real issues to see if everything looks in order. It might be a simple short and simple fix inside the plug or the inverter strip.Kolorado Thanks this. -
I put it in any plug it blows the fuse I looked in side the inverter there's is exposed wire but it looks like it was just cheaply made and has been like that from the start I guess I will go b u a new one and see if it still blows a fuse also I've been down for 3 days so idk if there blowing because I haven't been rolling and not enough juice in the battery still blows while truck is running

I need help I bought a power drive 400 watt inverter when I hook my PlayStation 4 up to it it’ll run for a lil bit then just shut off and I just changed the fuse to another fuse inside the adapter to the cigarette outlet in my semi and the fuse do not look burnt or anything but it’s just keep shutting off what can I do I’m on my last fuse for the adapter

Well for starters, your 400W inverter is going to pull about 35A of current at 12 volts and about 28A of current at 14 volts when running at 100% load. If you're pulling more than about 120-150 watts out of your cigarette lighter, you're probably overloading the truck's cigarette lighter circuit.
