Will a 1500 Watt run a fridge ? or would it be best to have the fridge hard wired to the truck, I was in a truck that had a micro and a fridge, they went out of business so I now have to find another company, I got to used to the micro/fridge, there is no way I'm going back to T/S food

Southpaw7391 and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -
Is there a formula to figure out how long the batteries will last before going too low with a 2000 watt inverter powering a device drawing 1200 watts?
-
13.8 V is the terminal voltage of your batteries (I'm pretty sure about that, but could be wrong at this hour of the night!)
The amp-hour rating is off of your batteries, and you should add up the ratings of all of your batteries that are connected. Use about half of the number that you get - you don't want to draw them down below say about half capacity. The undervoltage alarm may have different ideas about this though!
Keep in mind that as those batteries age, their storage capacity decreases. Old batteries, or ones that haven't been maintained properly will discharge faster than new ones.Rotten and scottied67 Thank this. -
Best $150 I spent was that fridge. Though my 22" LED really completes my man-cave lolSouthpaw7391 and Rotten Thank this. -
Replaced the solenoid valve and the inverter fired right up! I am good to go!

Got mine installed yesterday.I used 2 AWG wire direct to the battery.
On the digital display my 900 watt microwave pulls 1190 watts.
So far it looks like the Power Bright brand is going to do a good job.
Not a bad deal on Amazon....
The 2 gauge wire was not cheap.....I tinned the ends and soldered the lugs on the wire.
Going to be nice to have something other than cold sandwiches and junk on the road!
And fresh coffee!! -
I wonder if your batteries are getting old and need replacing. Are they wet cells (low water) or AGM? To run any larger invertor, unless you have a seperate battery bank, you should really be using dual purpose AGM batteries. Both for starting and deep cycle use.
Edit: I guess I should've kept reading to where this was resolved. Sorry, Guys! -

Word of advise: ground your chasie to the batterries, ground your engine to the batteries or chasie, go to the parts store and buy the battery terminal cleaner, clean battery wire ends and posts. You may not notice it but, accessories will thank you. If the cb still sounds like a turbo then ground it too.
