Hey Scottie! I absolutely LOVE the photo of your "reinbaby". LOL Sooooo cute. I also have a matching set of antlers but they look better on the baby than me.

I was directed to the thread because two people I consider friends were insulting each other. It makes me incredibly sad.

    Soooooooooo

    STOP IT!!!!!

You're both very lovely, intelligent, vocal, stubborn people. Don't make me get my tazer out.

IMO, the insulting was coming from one side only. And I gave him my opinion on that over the phone a few hours ago.

Disagreeing with someone professionally is fine- we all do it. Insulting them personally because you disagree with them professionally is not fine.

The bickering could have been skipped by all parties involved. It was not. All parties involved are just as guilty.

I have been there and done that (saying inappropriate things in anger) and it was because there was something wrong with me which I needed and got the help to solve that problem. Help is all around for those who seek it.

Drama makes the world go 'round. Anger and drama has been around since men have been killing each other. Most of the time it backfires on the angeror rather than the angeree lol. Anger and drama got Jesus killed; he's been bigger in death than he ever was in life. Anger and drama killed hundreds of thousands of American Indians. The descendants of the killers generally offer genuine respect, honor and remorse for their ancestors' transgressions.

    Agreed.

We typically learn as young men that anger is our 'go to' emotion for everything. Any other emotion might be viewed as 'sissy' or weakness. That's our anxiety taking over. I'm no councilor by any means, I just know how to 'fake' not being angry so I can get through life.

This is true. Things really boil down to people caring for one another. One person says something mean then the other person reacts because they care what the other person said. We all have a 'care filter' I call it but it often times gets clogged up like your air filter. A person needs to know who they are and what other say about them has no effect. It goes back to when we were kids and we learned 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me'.

I hope to teach my son this so he doesn't have to waste half his life like I did looking for the solution. People will say and do things to get us to do what they want us to do. Practice not giving them what they want. The more desperate they are to get you to do something, the lower, meaner they will be. Practice the Art of War.

First of all, I want to apoligize to Injun. I had no right dragging her heritage into the argument. I'm not asking for forgiveness, just publicly stating that I was wrong for that.

But there are a couple other issues that I'd love to address.....

25K is great for your bank account. If I had 25K, I'd be cheerleading also for that carrier. But honestly answer these questions....

Are you paying for a house?
    Electric bill?
    Cable bill?
    Heating bill?
    Car Payments?
    Insurance?
Do you have a family to support?
    Children depending on you?
How often do you go home?
    And for how long?

People, before you take Injun's cheerleading as a good thing, pay attention to her answers to the questions above. I think I know her well enough to know what the answers are. And if I'm correct, that will explain most of her success as a lease operator.

If you have any of those financial obligations, there is no way that you will be able to bank that amount of money in a lease deal.

Lease deals don't teach you anything about becoming a O/O.

Maybe you like seeing people raped by these deals..... I don't! I'm not gonna pat someone on the back, like yourself, and tell them they are making the right move when walking to the edge of a cliff without a parachute. I'm the type of guy who is gonna walk over hand him a parachute and explain to him he's gonna need it before he gets to the bottom.

I'm not a cheerleader for failure like yourself. Scottie already set himself up for failure with the statement he made in an earlier post.... I don't want to own the truck or pay it off, or something to that effect... So whats the point in L/Ping the truck? You think you will be home more to watch that little one grow up? The answer is No.

I don't know what benefits Swift has for company drivers, but I'm gonna bet its better than what benefits you will receive as a L/P driver.

I don't who or if scottie talked to someone about this deal, meaning other L/P drivers. But if he did, he really needs to look at their way of life. How often do they go home, do they have kids, did they watch their kids grow up or just hear how they grew up.

Scottie, you want to watch your kids grow up and spend more time with you family, back out of this deal now, cause its not the answer! It will be just the opposite.
