    I think you are, but why not call one of the numbers listed on the MCP FAQ page and ask? Asking us internet Attorneys is probably not the soundest, just my opinion. Make sure you write down who you talk to, and when.

    Except there is no way I will ever win any money at a tractor pull cause I finish way back in the pack. Even if I did I would still not be 'ahead' I still lose money, Wonder if the DOT man would be empathetic to my case.

    This topic comes up here alot. The best answer I have found is it's all in how the truck is registered regardless of for hire or not. If it has commercial tags on it and you plan on running out of state your best bet is to go with the IRP. Then you will obviously need an IFTA account and keep a log book. I don't know CA rules as far as an RV conversion but you may want to look into them.
