Well, Five months of research, multiple hours of surfing sites, (this site has been the best) bothering every trucker I knew or who would talk to me at the local mom & pop stop, It is time to go...... :biggrin_25525:

I will start with C1 in Indy on the 27th. Any last minute advice out there?

Oh almost forgot! Thanks to all who have taken the time to answer my other questions throughout this and other threads.

congrats!I hopefully graduate from CDI in South Bend on friday (depending on my state test). If you can drive a clutch, forget everything you know lol. Double clutching is totally different than anything you will ever encounter. Listen in class, and to your trainers and you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck!!!!

Isn't usa running auto shifts? A friend of mine just started solo with them and he said he is running an auto shift international 9000. His name is Otto. If you run into him, leave a post. Thanks and good luck to you all!

The kenworths are autoshift as well except for the trainer trucks. I've heard that the whole fleet will be auto by 2010.

Your honesty is appreciated . Wannabes have to hear the facts and never mind the recruiter BS . Every driver I talk to has seen drastic decreases in income from last year . I'm getting 300 -400 miles a week less than last year but all runs are dedicated so at least I'm home when waiting for a load .
