my bad i thought he made a statement "Criminal history, if you have a felony, you are probably wasting your time."And i was just trying to state that is not always the case so other guys thinking of getting into trucking do not read his statement and get discouraged.I speak from experience i have had a felony since 1991 and had no problems or issues with that being on my record

Guy swore that it was a DC three years ago and it was cleared. Could he have been blowing smoke, I dont know. What I do know is they were questioning everything within the last 5+ years from felony to giving your wife the evil eye. With the number of folks jumping on the trucking industry bandwagon, present party included, they are being more and more selective about who they take. I spent three phone calls to PAM at school, they kept asking me over and over about my VA disability rating. Had me paranoid that I was going to get the boot too.

Just left the Budget Inn... what a nice place. Glad to be home but, ready to head to Ark. Did you know that all the nice people who live on that back side of the Budget Inn are registered sex offenders staying there as part of a program with the dept. of corrections.

well that is behind you now.Time to move onto the next adventure of the training process

Thomas, I could not agree with you more. But this forum may open some eyes and prepare future truck drivers, like it did me, in the pitfalls of the CDL / Training process. Plus it is fun to rag on the hotel.......
Was not aware that the back side of the hotel was for that. I was too busy watching my truck so it would not get jacked.
Was told by several that C1 indy was the best school. On home time with my trainer now, and he and a bunch other drivers I have talked to said it was the worst. Either way, they prepare you to get your CDL, and they accomplished that task, the road is a learning adventure in itself. -
yeah c1 to me just seemed like a process to get you the basics,i went thru c1 in fort worth.if you have a good trainer you will learn much more from him and driving on your own once you go solo.
