Recently a thread on here had some questions on propane injection. I found the company that I mentioned but I didn't have their name and such. Here it is: RMR Pro-Diesel Technology 401 Main St. Jet, OK 73749
    (580) 626-4583 fax (580) 626-4583 www.rmrprodiesel.com I would have put this in that previous thread but I wasn't able to find the right one.

If you carry any amount of LPG, does that limit you from being able to travel through tunnels? Or does that only apply to placarded loads?

I still think an ECM tune or bullydog is a better way to go because its a one time expense. With the propane injection you have to buy the kit, tank & propane, plus the weight it adds to the truck.

I'm not trying to knock anybody running propane but I've been down this road myself & to me the ecm tune is a netter way to go.

I can't answer the question on tunnels and propane tanks. I would hate to buy a tank for use as a 'fuel tank' and then not be allowed in any tunnels.

I know a good tune does wonders but I would still like to try propane. Hydrogen would be awesome but I think it still has problems to be resolved.

    In America -
It looks like a simple plug in -
    I've had experience with CNG,

I'll need to see some solid test results here . . .

Get rich quickish schemes are a dime a dozen with a 300+ million population.

I don't know about tunnels but you need to have big life insurance if you carry LPG or CNG and you have family...

I've been around hydrogen on 7.3 diesel and holy cow it was night and day. However on 13-15 liter big truck engine can you make enough hydrogen to make it work? I have my reservations on that.

We tried CNG on two trucks. It was a flop. The company had good luck with it elsewhere but it would not function properly at high altitude. When it did work the trucks were gutless. They started having cashflow problems and went out of business when our CEO would not invest in their company. Seems like they bet on CNG when everyone was busy building LNG stations.

I knew a guy that had propane injection on his truck. He said it really improved his overall fuel mileage and power pulling hills. The propane tank went in place of his passenger side step. He said the worst part was getting it refilled without having to drop the trailer.

    blairandgretchen Thanks this.
