I kept thinking “if you’d just slide your tandems all the way back dude, it’s be a lot easier”.Roberts450 Thanks this. -

I thought it was that one with the bull pusher on the front. Could’ve been another though. I’ll look for it tonight when I’m at the cardlock.

The deadliest thing I've hauled so far is buttermilk. That stuff teaches proper shifting.

My worst was antifreeze, around 5,000 gallons in a 7,000 trailer. Felt like a car hit you at every light never again.
ChicagoJohn and speedyk Thank this. -

I’ve gotten used to the feel of the surge. Sometimes when I get home and sit on the couch, I still feel like I’m riding the wave. The thing that I dislike the most about being a tanker driver is shifting. I try to be smooth and don’t drive like a moron but sometimes when you’ve got a half load, I find myself missing gears at times. I’ll just blame it on the fact I’m driving a Western Star with a tight gearbox
speedyk Thanks this. -
I went from tanker to readymix. I liked tanker, for the most part. I’d do it again if it was day cab work and I got bored of readymix.
I hauled DEF in a smooth bore. Funny thing was the tractor had a bad ### Detroit s60 with no emissions. Lol
For the cup holder debate. Just use a roll of duct tape, then you got duct tape AND a cup holder. You can even buy two rolls for two drinks!authentic251 Thanks this.
