The thousands upon thousands of unpaid hours sitting on a dock waiting to be loaded or unloaded. I'll never pull a reefer ever again.
Some folks love it. It's just not for me.

Don't forget the wonderful slaughterhouses. Yummy chicken plants. Smells good too while you wait and they mutilate your load.

Where I work, “broker loads” are extremely rare and it’s usually on these rare broker loads where I see a possible argument against doing reefer work. I like our customer and freight base, and our 48 state area that keeps the life from getting too monotonous. But I guess only the handful of drivers like me can appreciate that aspect.

Company driver perspective here.Dry van is the same bs. Only difference is you are waiting at a truckstop for your preloaded dry van to be ready vs sitting at a dock.
