St Louis, not Chicago
road_runner, rabbiporkchop, fordconvert and 1 other person Thank this. -
It was a FedEx Ground contractor pulling a set of doubles on I-70 in St. Louis, not Chicago.
Looters and rioters forced the truck off the interstate, broke into the front trailer and jumped up onto the steps of the truck and banged on the windows. Driver blasted his horn then took off before pulling over a few blocks away. One of the looters got wedged between the dolly wheels and a package on the ground, was dragged the whole way since the driver couldn't see him.
Doesn't sound like the driver is going to be charged with anything, and it doesn't even sound like FedEx is going to make the contractor fire him.
Something similar happened with UPS in Minneapolis on that same night, except no one died because those looters broke into the rear trailer and nobody appears to have jumped up on the truck, so the driver was able to slowly pull away without worrying about someone trying to bust his windows.road_runner, The Shadow, Coffey and 6 others Thank this. -
I hope the cowl hood for my Nova SS wasn’t in there! It’s on its way from Georgia, and it is a replacement for the freight-damaged one that showed up last week! Lol
road_runner, audeygdad, BigDog Trucker and 3 others Thank this. -
Meh, no great loss. For some reason, looters are exempt from justice, and rightly so. I wonder if all this has more to do with how pissed off people are about the general situation in the country, and less about this George Floyd? The Shadow, Coffey, Texas_hwy_287 and 5 others Thank this.

Bwahahaha! The good news is that i know it is a truck freight item, so it shouldn’t be on a fed-ex truck
