I'm not a mechanic, I have no idea what's wrong with it or how to fix it, I'm still wondering how it passed inspection

Just leave it out of your inspection if you don't have time get it fixed. leaving it out will be a point on the inspection score, not working could be reason to say the truck failed. Good luck today!
