Parts of La Grange are rather upscale, and that section of La Grange Road -- U.S. 45 -- runs through their "cutesy little upscale boutiques downtown." It's a clusterf*ck on a "normal" day. This had to cause a real circus.
JonJon78, Studebaker Hawk and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Here is another view taken by a railfan who just happened to be nearby.
I just don't get it.
"Gee officer, I just didn't see this enormous ORANGE locomotive coming right at me."
Savor the Flavor and Hammer166 Thank this. -

In order to have a "Quiet Zone", no train horns, the cities have to pony up the extra funds to install 4 quadrant crossing arms. These block all traffic lanes on both sides of the crossing so vehicles can't just drive around the gates.
Hammer166 and Studebaker Hawk Thank this. -
Couldn’t see it coming
Hammer166 Thanks this. -
Couple cans of Flex Seal and good to go
